The Philadelphia Inquirer reported this morning that 19 of 20 metropolitan areas that are measured by the Case-Shiller Home Price index, showed price declines during the reporting period of October through November. All real estate is local in nature and unfortunately our local area has seen steeper declines then neighboring areas. Delaware County underperformed the other four area counties for December 2010 versus December 2009, and Nether Providence Township was significantly lower for the same period in the same comparisons. This data is based upon units sold in December 2010 vs December 2009.
