Augusts marks the second month in a row that that sales increased over the same month of the previous year, with 18 Wallingford homes sold in August 2011 as opposed to 10 sales in August 2010. Eighteen sales was the second highest total for August recorded in the past five years, eclipsed only in August 2007 in a much different real estate climate when there were 19 sales. It is encouraging to see sales on the upswing.
