Nether Providence Township has announced that the new 65 gallon recycling containers will soon be delivered to each residence participating in the Township recycling program. If your current red/green recycling container is in as bad shape as mine these new containers will be a welcome change.
Each container will bear a unique serial number associated to the address to which it is delivered, and are the property of Nether Providence Township.
The containers are made of a very sturdy dark green plastic with an attached black plastic lid that flips back, and has wheels that will make transport of recyclables to the curb very easy. The 65 gallon size should be sufficiently large enough to handle a week’s worth of recyclables for any household.
The new containers were purchased with money received through a recycling grant from the Pennsylvania Department Of Environmental Protection. An sample new container is on display at the Nether Providence Township Building at 214 Sykes Lane.
