Countryside Deli - Aftermath Of Christmas Eve Fire
An early morning fire on Christmas Eve destroyed the Countryside Deli on the 500 block of Yale Avenue in Swarthmore. The blaze which is thought to have been caused by a deep fryer, was reported shortly before 6:00 AM. The fire was accelerated due to a ruptured gas line, destroyed the popular local eatery and a second floor apartment.
