Micro-Chip Clinic Saturday June 16 At Garden City Firehouse
Area dog owners will be able to take advantage of a high-tech means of reuniting them with pooches gone astray, free of charge, courtesy of the Delaware County Kennel Club.
On Saturday June 16, there will a no-cost micro chipping event for canines at the Garden City Fire Company firehouse located at 412 Moore Road in Wallingford. The event will run from 9 AM until Noon.
The process involves the implanting of a computer chip about the size of a grain of rice under the dog’s skin and between its shoulder blades. If a dog gets lost, a handheld device can be used to read the microchip and learn the identity and contact information for its owner.
