- Grid Format Highlights Disclosure Changes
A revised Seller’s Disclosure form is scheduled for release on September 17 by the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors.
The updated disclosure form grows to 9 pages in length, and the most substantive change is the addition of the grid format which is meant to address complaints regarding confusion of the current form’s layout.
The new format is designed to make it easier for Seller’s to fill out, for readers to understand the responses, and to make it simpler to spot any questions which have gone unanswered.
All questions will be able to be answered with a Yes, No, Unknown, or Not Applicable response, as well as providing space for a written answer when applicable. Questions from the current form have been broken apart and simplified to accommodate the grid structure.
Questions regarding subjects such as property occupancy and ownership, water supply sewage, heating,and appliances are among the topics that have been added or expanded.
