Last week it was announced that the Wallingford Swarthmore school District will once again put the former Summit Elementary School on Plush Mill Road in Wallingford on the market. The District has tried without success in the past to sell the Summit property without success and has been leasing the facility since 2010 to the Stage One organization, also known as the Performing Arts Complex of Delaware County.
Superintendent Richard Noonan made the following remarks in a prepared statement. “In bringing the property to market, the primary goal of the school district is to translate the property into a financial asset that can assist in funding facilities projects and easing the debt service property tax burden on residents.”
