Helen Kate Furness Library and Swarthmore Library invite you to the inaugural 5K Walk/Run to celebrate our libraries and communities. Registration will be open at 8:00 AM on race day, Saturday, April 1st. The point to point course starts at Wallingford train station at 9:00 AM and ends at Swarthmore Library. There will activities for families at Central Park in Swarthmore including face painting, music by Allison DeSalvo, and an awards ceremony. This is a fun event for the whole family! The first 125 5K walkers and runners to register are guaranteed a t-shirt! All registered runners and walkers will be entered into a drawing to win a Complimentary One Night Stay (including Breakfast for two) at the Inn At Swarthmore and a $100 Gift Certificate to the Broad Table Tavern. There is a SEPTA train leaving Swarthmore station 8:01 AM getting to Wallingford station at 8:03AM, in case you want to leave your car in Swarthmore and get to the starting line via public transportation!
