Colonial Christmas At The Thomas Leiper House

The Thomas Leiper House will be hosting it’s annual Colonial Christmas Open House at the Leiper House located at 521 Avondale Road in Wallingford PA on Sunday December 17, 2017 from 1 PM until 5 PM. Rooms in the 1785 home of Thomas Leiper will be decorated for the holidays.

Visitors can also enjoy cake and refreshments to celebrate the birthday of Thomas Leiper who was born in Strathaven, Sctotland on December 15, 1745.

Unwanted E-Waste Will Be Collected At The Recycling Event

Nether Providence Township and Media Borough are sponsoring an electronic recycling and shredding event on Saturday November 18, 2017 from 9 AM to 1 PM in the Acme parking lot located at 527 East Baltimore Pike, Media, PA.

E-Waste: Recycle almost anything with a plug for free! Old-style TV’s and CRT monitors do require a $30 disposal fee.

Shredding: documents with sensitive information that need to be shredded in a safe, secure, and environmentally friendly method on site. No CDs, or DVDs.

E-Recycling service is provided by PAR RECYCLE WORKS – a local nonprofit that sells reusable materials collected from electronic devices to help pay for salaries and job skill development for formerly incarcerated men and women, in order to support their productive re-entry back into society. Tuesday November 7, 2017 is Election Day please remember to get out and vote!

Nether Providence Township is divided into 7 wards, each with 2 precincts. Each ward and precinct has an established a voting location for Tuesday’s election. There are a total of 9 voting locations in the township. If you do not know what ward you live in check the map of Nether Providence Township wards. By entering your street address you can also check the PA Department Of State polling location information lookup for your specific voting location.

Voting locations in Nether Providence Township will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Exercise your right to vote on Tuesday!

Strawberry Festival – Monday June 5, 2017 – Wallingford Presbyterian Church

The always popular Strawberry Festival sponsored by Wallingford Presbyterian Church will be held on Monday June 5, 2017, from 5:00-8:00 PM, rain or shine. Mark the date on your calendar and join the over 1,000 people who enjoy this much anticipated annual community event.

There will be plenty of strawberries to accompany your cake and ice cream for dessert as well as roast beef and meatball sandwiches, hot dogs, hoagies, potato salad and other goodies along with lots of beverages.

Between food trips, take time to allow the kids to try out all of the games and one of the three moon bounces while you shop for Attic Treasures, used books and live plants. If there is no parking in the church lot, there should be space on the street, at Wallingford Elementary School, or the Wallingford SEPTA train station.

The festival is held on the Church grounds located at 110 East Brookhaven Road Wallingford, PA 19086.

Wallingford PA Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday April 8, 2017

Participants Will Be Searching For 3,000 Eggs At The Hunt

On Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10 AM Wallingford Presbyterian Church will host it’s 9th Annual Easter Egg-stravaganza with more than 3,000 eggs. Registration opens at 9:30 AM in the Reception Room. At 10 AM, we will sing some Easter songs in the sanctuary and hear a short message from Pastor Francois Lacroix. Immediately after the message, the kids will proceed to the age designated hunt areas. After collecting eggs, we will offer a pancake brunch. The Easter Bunny has promised to make an appearance, so be sure to bring your cameras. There is no charge for the Egg-stravaganza, but a free-will offering will be accepted. The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the hunt will be held indoors.
